Q. Who can attend? 

A. Any single adult aged 31+ who is willing to abide by the Church standards. Interstaters or vistors outside Australia are most welcome to attend, you just need to organise a place to stay and transport to all events.

Q. Where do we stay? 

A. This is a mini convention therefore accommodation is not provided. People from out of Sydney are responsible to organise their own accommodation.

Q. Can I bring my children?

A. No. This event is for single adults only (Age from 31+).

Q. Visitors during convention?

A. We expect the only attendees at convention will be SA, Priesthood leaders and helpers. There are no facilities for anyone younger than stated, including youth, small children or babies. This also relates to those who may want to visit you during convention. We do not have the capacity to handle children and families wanting to visit you at convention and would request the visits be arranged either prior to or at the conclusion of convention.

Q. What does the $75 cost include?

A. The bulk of the cost ($75) will be to cover the formal dinner, ball, band at the function centre. The remainder of the money goes towards covering some of the cost for Friday nights refreshments, Saturday's brunch and Sunday's dinner as well as collateral for the convention. Baulkham Hills Stake are hosting along with the Multi-Stake Commitee and are also donating their time and efforts.

Q. Do you accept payments on the first day of convention?

A. No. All payments for convention need to be made by 14th October.

Q. How do I pay for convention?

A. Payments for convention can be made via credit card, Visa or Mastercard debit cards. Firstly register online. You will then receive an email confirming your registration with a link to make your payment. Payments are made via the secure church gateway. Once this payment has gone through successfully, a commitee member will confirm your registration as complete.

Q. Do you accept cash or cheques for payment?

A. No. Payments for convention can only be made via credit card or Visa/ Mastercard debit card.

Q. When do we register and when can we pay?

A. Registration is open from 11th August and will close on 30th September. Payments can made via credit card, Visa or Mastercard debit card via the online registration site. Once you have registered online, you will receive an email confirming your registration, providing you a link to make a payment via the secure church gateway.

Q. Can we pay by instalments?

A. No. We can only confirm your registration once full payment has been received. If you need to part pay, speak with your local Priesthood Leader first and then contact us before starting the registration process begins.

Q. Do I have to register to attend Sunday only?

A. You can attend Sunday as a day event without any food being consumed. This event has been catered for specifically for those that have registered and paid prior.

Q. Who can I contact if I require further information?

A. Please email the convention committee on sydsalds@gmail.com and a committee member will respond to your enquiry. If you would like to speak to a committee member, please include your contact number and request a phone call back.

Q. Can I share registration with someone else?

A. No

Q. Why must I have an email address for registration?

A. When you register, you need your own unique email address. You cannot share an account with another, even your sibling. The email address is used in the registration process to confirm and provide convention updates, so the address is important. If you do not have an email address, they can be obtained free from Google, Yahoo and Hotmail just to name a few.

Q. I have special needs/medical issues, can I attend?

A. We hope that all SA who want to attend will attend. We have an area on the registration form to highlight any health or medical issues you may have. Your details are kept confidential and are only used by authorized convention organisers. The facilities for each activity also feature accommodation and amenities designed for people with a disability.

Q. How do I get there?

A. Car - You are responsible for your own transport to and from the convention. There is access to public transport for those who would rather leave the car at home. Our advice is that you gather your friends and car pool to convention if not catching public transport.

Q. Can I pay tithing and fast offering at convention?

A. No.

Q. What is the refund policy?

A. All registrations amendments and cancellations before 30th August will receive a full refund. Any changes after the 1st September 2015 will receive a refund less any costs incurred for the convention that cannot be recovered (for instance meals and Saturday Ball at Function Centre). All refunded amounts will be processed after convention is completed. Refunds will be at the discretion of the Multi-Stake Single Adult convention committee.
